Rapper T.I.’s Wife Charged with Possession of Ecstasy

The L.A. County District Attorney has charged rapper T.I.’s wife, Tameka Cottle, with possession of the drug ecstasy stemming from when the couple was arrested in Los Angeles last month. If she is convicted she could spend up to a year of incarceration. The District Attorney has already decided not to prosecute T.I. for charges related to the incident. He will already be serving time in Georgia for a probation violation related to the L.A. arrest.

Micheal Jackson's Death Investigation Completed

The LAPD has finished their investigation into the death of late singer Michael Jackson and the case will go the District Attorney very soon. It is very likely that Dr. Conrad Murray will be criminally charged in the death of Jackson. Detectives fininshed their investigation late last month and the case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney as soon as scheduling allows it, which will be within weeks. The District Attorney supposedly has enough information for Dr. Murray to be charged with involuntary manslaughter due to gross negligence. The case can get complicated because Dr. Murray did not break any laws in administering Propofol to Jackson.

Rapper Coolio Pleads Not Guilty

On Friday, the rapper Coolio pleaded not guilty to drug possession and battery charges during his arraignment in a Los Angeles courtroom. Last month, he was arrested at the Los Angeles International Airport and was charged with felony cocaine possession and battery and possession of drug paraphernalia. He had grabbed a screener's arm at the airport to try to prevent them from searching his luggage. He is currently free on bail and has been ordered to go back to court on April 20th.

Rapper Andre 3000 Charged with Speeding

On Saturday, the rapper Andre 3000 from the group Outkast was charged with speeding and is free on bond after police clocked him driving at 109 mph on a highway in Atlanta, GA. He told police that the was driving fast because he had missed an exit and had to turn around. He is currently free on a $1,200 property bond and has a court date set for April 29th.

Rapper Kanye West Charged with Misdemeanors

The rapper Kanye West has been charged with misdemeanor battery, grand theft, and vandalism by the Los Angeles city prosecutors due to destroying a paparazzi's camera back in September. He has the possibility of spending 2 and a half years in jail if he is convicted of the charges.

West's manager, named Dan Crawley, is also facing six misdemeanor charges, two counts of battery, and vandalism and grand theft due to being part of the incident by breaking the camera and accosting a videographer from TMZ. He has the possbility of spending up to five years in jail if he is convicted.

Rapper Kanye West Arrest in England

The rapper Kanye West was arrested on suspicion of assault after an incident with a photographer outside of the Tup Tup Palace bar in Newcastle, northern England. He was later released without any charges. Kanye West is currently in England as apart of his Glow in the Dark tour.

Don Cornelius Charged with Battery

Don Cornelius, the former host of the show "Soul Train," has been charged with spousal battery, assault with a deadly weapon, and dissuading a witness from making a police report due to two domestic incidents that involved his wife last month. He was arrested and taken to jail last month after the police were called to his Hollywood Hills home after a report of a domestic dispute. He was released on $50,000 bail and could face up to one year in prison for each of the five misdemeanor charges against him.

Rapper Kanye West Not Charged in Airport Incident

Prosecutors have decided not to file felony charges against the rapper Kanye West and his manager for an incident in which the camera of a paparazzi was broken. Prosecutors referred the case to the city attorneys and they will decide if West will be charged with a misdemeanor.

West was arrested on September 11th at Los Angeles International Airport on suspicion of vandalism after he was caught on video struggling with a paparazzi and then breaking his camera on the floor. His manager was also arrested on suspicion of breaking the camera and one that belonged to a TMZ videographer.

Actor Shia LaBeouf Not Charged in Car Accident

The actor Shia LaBeouf will not be charged for his involvement in a recent drunken driving accident that caused him to injure his hand. He could have his license suspended due to refusing to take the breathalyzer test. Authorities say that there wasn’t enough evident to charge him with drunken driving. He has a traffic hearing with the Department of Motor Vehicles on Friday and his driver’s license could possible be suspended for up to nine months.

Rapper DMX Indicted on Charges

The rapper DMX has been indicted on felony charges by a grand jury in Arizona for using a false name to avoid paying for a hospital bill. He has been charged with one count of theft and one count of taking someone else's identity. He went to Scottsdale's Mayo Clinic in April using the name “Troy Jones” to receive medical care even though his real name is Earl Simmons and didn't have any intentions on paying the bill.

Hip Hop Singer Nate Dogg Charged With Stalking

The hip hop singer Nate Dogg has been charged by prosecutors on Monday with stalking after he was accused of threatening and stalking his wife. He was arrested last month by the California Highway Patrol after his wife stated that he threatened and followed her while she was driving on a freeway south of Los Angeles.

He will be arraigned on July 16th on felony counts of making criminal threats, stalking, and a misdemeanor charge of driving while his license was suspended for a drunken driving violation.

Model Naomi Campbell Charged In London Airport Assault

The model Naomi Campbell has been charged with assaulting two police officers during an incident that happened at Heathrow Airport on April 3rd. She was charged when she reported to Heathrow police station to answer bail. She faces three counts of assaulting a constable, two counts of using threatening abusive words or behavior towards the cabin crew, and one count of disorderly conduct. The assault was against two officers. She has been ordered to appear at a west London magistrates’ court on June 20th and she could possibly receive six months in prison and/or a fine of up to $10,000.

On April 3rd, Campbell was on a British Airways plane ready to go to Los Angeles when she got into a dispute over her luggage. She was removed from the plane and held for eight hours at the airport police station before she was released on bail.

Actor Gary Dourdan Charged with Felony Drug Possession

The actor Gary Dourdan, who is a star on the show “CSI,” has been charged with felony possession of heroin, cocaine, and ecstasy since his arrest last month where police found him asleep in his car in Palm Springs parked on the wrong side of the street with his car’s interior light on. He is scheduled to appear in court in Los Angeles on May 28th.

Rapper Vanilla Ice No Longer Being Charged for Assault

Prosecutors against the rapper Vanilla Ice have decided not to charge him with domestic battery since his wife changed her original statement. He was arrested on April 10th at the couple’s home after his wife called 911 and said that he kicked and hit her during an argument. She later told police that he only pushed her. In an affidavit that was provided to prosecutors, she changed her version of what happened saying that the physical confrontation was accidental. Prosecutors closed the case on Tuesday.

Mother Charged With Helping Son Make Pipe Bombs

In Great Falls, MT a 43 year old woman named Rae Lynn Funston was arrested and charged with felony possession of explosives after helping her son make pipe bombs in her home. Funston is in jail on a $25,000 bond and authorities don’t know why she and her son made them or how lethal they are.

Woman Charged With Pouring Boiling Water on Boyfriend

It is reported in West Palm Beach, FL that a woman, named Billie Reynolds, was arrested and charged with pouring boiling water on her boyfriend while he was sleeping. The boyfriend suffered second-degree burns on over 20 percent of his body and was sent to the hospital. The police don’t know the reasoning as to why she did it.

Reynolds has been jailed and is being charged with domestic aggravated battery.

Mother Charged with Driving Son to Gang Fight

It is reported in Victorville, CA that a woman, named Sophia Elam, was arrested after she drove her son to school to fight with members of a rival gang. The woman drove her 16 year old son and several other adults to Silverado High School to fight gang members who had been harassing her son.

She was arrested this past Thursday for investigation of child endangerment. Five other adults and one juvenile were arrested when detectives did a search of Elam’s home and the home of a rival gang member. The detectives also found a gun in Elam’s home.

Man Charged With Assault for Throwing Cheetos at his Father

It is reported in Des Moines, IA that a man named Patrick Hamman was arrested and charged with domestic assault after he threw a bag of Cheetos at his father. The two were arguing when he threw the bag and it hit his father’s face and caused a cut to the bridge of his nose. Patrick admitted to being on methamphetamine at the time of the incident.

93 Year Old Man Charged With Drug Dealing

It is reported on in Durham, NC that a 93 year old man, named William C. Tinnen, was charged with cocaine-trafficking and possession of cocaine with intent to sell. He was put in jail and released a day later on Friday on a $200,000 bond. He was also charged with cocaine possession in 2001 but was given a suspended sentence.

Child Charged with Putting Teacher on YouTube

It is reported in Finland that a 15 year old boy, named Toni Vesikko, was fined for posting a video of his teaching karaoke and claiming she was a lunatic without her permission.

He teen claims the posting was a prank and didn’t mean to hurt the teacher. The teacher claims she suffered from anxiety, depression, and insomnia after the prank. The video was watched more than 600 times before it was removed from YouTube. In the video posting, Toni said that she was a lunatic singing at the karaoke of the mental hospital. He was fined $120 and was ordered to pay $1,000 in pain and suffering damages.
