Study Shows that Alcohol Increases Risk of Cancer

A recent study has show that alcohol can increase the chances of getting breast cancer in women. Studies have shown a link between drinking alcohol and breast cancer but they have yet to determine if certain types of alcohol is more dangerous than others.

The study analyzed the drinking habits of 70,033 women and asked them various questions during health exams between the years 1978 and 1985. By the year 2004, 2,829 of those women had been diagnosed with breast cancer. The study found that women who had one or two drinks a day increased their risk by 10 percent and women who had more than three drinks a day increased their risk by 30 percent.

Experts think that alcohol raises hormone levels in the blood to levels that could cause cancer. Doctors say that other factors, such as genetics, obesity, and age are more important factors that can raise the risk of breast cancer.

You Can Marry at Any Age in Arkansas

It is reported that a law was passed this year that allows people in Arkansas to marry at any age, even infants and toddlers, if their parents agree.

The legislation was intended to establish 18 as the minimum age to marry and allow pregnant teenagers to marry with parental consent but someone accidentally put a "not" in the bill, so it reads "In order for a person who is younger than eighteen (18) years of age and who is not pregnant to obtain a marriage license, the person must provide the county clerk with evidence of parental consent to the marriage."

A code of revision commission, which fixes typographical and technical errors in law, tried to correct the mistake but the commission went beyond its powers. The Arkansas Legislative Council asked the independent commission to make a correction but lawmakers said that a special session may be necessary.

Anti-aging Vitamins

Are you interested in spending the rest of your life looking and feeling young and healthy? Aging is the result of the body’s cells dying faster than new cells being created. Most of the consequences we suffer from aging come from lifestyle choices more than from the natural aging process.

It is important to take vitamins for overall healthy but they also play a major part when it comes to slowing down the aging process. As we age, our bodies don’t process nutrients as well, so you have to increase your nutrient intake. You should take a multivitamin daily to get important nutritional protection against free radicals and help eliminate toxins.

Vitamin D helps to prevent osteoporosis and B Vitamins help to prevent heart disease and memory loss.

The mineral selenium helps to protect the body from cancers, including skin cancer. It also helps with tissue elasticity and slows down the aging and hardening of tissues that are associated with oxidation. The mineral can be found in whole grain cereals, seafood, garlic, and eggs.

Vitamin E is an important antioxidant because it helps to delay the aging process and protects cell membranes and prevents damages to enzymes. It also helps to inactivate free radicals to make them less likely to cause damage. Putting the vitamin on your skin can reduce damage caused by sun exposure and limit the production of cancer-causing cells. It also reduces wrinkles and improves the texture of the skin. It can be found in sunflower oil, grains, oats, nuts, and dairy products.

Vitamin C helps to slow down the aging process and helps to repair free radicals and keeps them from becoming cancerous.

Vitamin K helps to reduce many degenerative diseases.

Lutien helps to keep your eyes healthy and helps to reduce Age-related Macular Degeneration. It can be found in leafy vegetables, such as spinach, collard greens, and kale.
