In Maiden, North Carolina a man bought a smoker at an auction and when he opened it he found a human leg. The leg was cut off about a couple of inches above the knee.
The auction that he bought it from sold items that were left behind at a storage facility. Investigators contacted the family that had previously rented the space where the smoker and leg were found and the renter said that her son had his leg amputated after a plane crash and kept the leg for religious reasons. The renter and son plan to retrieve the found leg.
