Rapper Snoop Dogg Testifies in Court

The rapper Snoop Dogg testified in court on Monday stating that he didn't hit a man named Richard Monroe Jr. who is claiming that he hit him with a brass-knuckle microphone during one of Snoop's concerts in 2005. Snoop stated that he immediately went back to his tour bus after Monroe jumped on stage and was tackled by security.

Monroe claims that he was seriously injured after Snoop, his entourage, and security hit him and poured alcohol on him during a performance of the song "Gin and Juice." He also said that he woke up backstage naked in a pool of blood after the incident. Snoop's attorney's say that Monroe was wrong to go on stage and security was just reacting because they thought that Snoop was being attacked when he went on stage. Monroe is suing for $22 million.

Tyra Banks Testifies Against Her Stalker

This week, Tyra Banks, talk show host and former model, will testify in court against a man named Brady Green who is being accused of stalking her. He was arrested near the Manhattan studio where Banks tapes her talk show. Banks feels that his unwanted attention alarmed her and made her feel unsafe. A lawyer for Green states that he was doing nothing wrong and was just answered Bank's invitation for fans to reach out to her. Green could receive up to 90 days in jail if he is convicted.

Civil Case Against Rapper Snoop Dogg Begins

A civil case against the rapper Snoop Dogg has begun. A man named Richard Monroe Jr. is claiming that he received serious injuries after he joined Snoop Dogg onstage during one of his performances and was beaten and robbed by Snoop Dogg and his entourage in 2005. Monroe is seeking $22 million in damages and punitive penalties. Snoop attended a day of jury selection this past week and a tape of the incident was shown to jurors during statements by Monroe's attorneys.

Tyler Perry's Stalker Arrested

On Wednesday, a woman named Dawne Wilson was arrested outside of Tyler Perry's production studios in Atlanta for stalking Perry. She already had a restraining order against her that was obtained by Perry and has a long history of stalking him. She is considered very dangerous and was arrested on the grounds of aggravated stalking, which is a felony.

Singer Chris Brown Pleads Not Guilty

On Monday, the singer Chris Brown pleaded not guilty to threatening and physically assaulting his girlfriend, singer Rihanna. Rihanna's lawyer was hoping that a plea deal could be made before the case went to trial and has stated that Rihanna would testify if it is required. If Brown is convicted, he could be sentenced to probation or as much as five years in prison. In March, he was charged by Los Angeles County prosecuters with felony assault likely to cause great bodyily injury and making criminal threats.

Rapper Coolio Pleads Not Guilty

On Friday, the rapper Coolio pleaded not guilty to drug possession and battery charges during his arraignment in a Los Angeles courtroom. Last month, he was arrested at the Los Angeles International Airport and was charged with felony cocaine possession and battery and possession of drug paraphernalia. He had grabbed a screener's arm at the airport to try to prevent them from searching his luggage. He is currently free on bail and has been ordered to go back to court on April 20th.

Actor Jamie Foxx Fights Off Stalker

On March 22nd, the actor and singer Jamie Foxx had to defend himself against an intruder at his hotel room in Philadelphia. Foxx had to push the man out of his room after he tried to trick him into thinking that he was Beyonce's producer. When Foxx opened the door, the man tried to push his way into the room but Foxx was able to push him out of the room and slammed the door in his face. The intruder, named Willie Brown, left the scene but Foxx ended up calling the police after he saw the man nine days later a few blocks away from the hotel. The man was arrested for burglary, criminal threats, stalking, false imprisonment, and harassment.
