Judge Seeks To Let Foxy Brown Out of Jail

Supreme Court Justice Melissa Jackson says that she wants more information on rapper Foxy Brown’s hearing problems before she lets her get out of jail to go to California for the repair of a defective electronic ear implant. She says that she wants proof of the rapper’s deafness. Foxy Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, revealed her hearing issues during a court appearance in 2004. Her petition says that her hearing problems are getting worse in jail and she needs to have the cochlear implant reprogrammed and repaired.

Foxy Brown was sentenced to a year in prison in September of 2007 for violating her probation. She was placed on probation for a misdemeanor assault of two manicurists at a Manhattan nail salon in August of 2004.
