Items to Be Sold From Luther Vandross Estate

Some items from the Luther Vandross Estate will go up for auction on December 5th and 6th. The singer died in 2005 at the age of 54. Items that are going up for auction include a Picasso charcoal drawing, mink coats, crystal vases, his handwritten lyrics to “Love Forgot,” his army green thermoses that he drank hot tea from during his concerts, designer loafers and boots, glasses, and doorknobs. The Items come from his previous homes in Beverley Hills, Greenwich, New York City, and his tours. The worth of all of the items auctioned is between $600,000 and $800,000.

Second Grader Suspended for Drawing Gunfight

In Dennis Township, NJ, a second grade child, named Kyle Walker, was suspended for one day after drawing a picture of a stick figure shooting a gun at another stick figure with the word “me” written above the shooter. The school has a zero-tolerance policy on guns. The boy gave the picture to another child on his school bus and that child’s parents complained about the picture to the school.
