Singer Lyfe Jennings Involved In High Speed Police Chase

Today, the R&B singer Lyfe Jennings was arrested in Georgia for shooting off a gun, taking police on a car chase in a Corvette, and refusing to take a DUI test. The police chase ended when Jennings’ car eventually crashed. He was charged with felony weapon possession by a convicted felon, attempting to elude, discharging a firearm near a public highway, and refusing to take the sobriety test.

Rapper Webbie Involved in High Speed Police Chase

The rapper Webbie was arrested and charged with felony eluding, driving under the influence, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana after being involved in a high-speed police chase in Hattiesburg. He tried to elude police on Sunday after a police officer tried to pull over his 2009 Dodge Challenger for a traffic violation on Interstate 59. He ignored the police signal for him to pull over and continued on the Interstate. He also hit another vehicle while on the road. Police later found his damaged vehicle in a parking lot on U.S. Highway 49. He was arrested after police later stopped a gray sedan.

Webbie is being held at the Forrest County Jail until his court appearance. He was charged with one count of felony eluding, one count of DUI, and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana that was found in the Dodge Challenger.

Blue-ray Wins the Format War

The war between the Blue-ray and HD DVD high-definition formats is over and Sony’s Blue-ray is the winner. Warner Bros. has announced that it would release movies for the home video market just in the Blue-ray format. Only two of Hollywood’s six major studios support the HD DVD format. The victory of Blue-ray may be short because of future technology that could allow people to download high-definition movies over the Internet.

It is found that the average cost of raising a child to the age of 21 is $338,000. Providing shelter will cost about $105,000 until the age of 18. Food will cost about $41,400 and health care costs will be about $17,400. The overall average cost also includes the cost of college.

Time Warner Basing Internet Prices on Web Usage

This year, Time Warner Cable will experiment with a new pricing structure for their high-speed Internet service that will charge customers based on how much data they download each month.. A trial will start in Beaumont, Texas, where they will sell new Internet customers service based on how much data they download each month instead of having a fixed price with unlimited downloads. They want to make it more expensive for people that download a lot of content, especially videos.
