The singer Michael Jackson will be buried and laid to rest this week without his brain. The Jackson family decided to have it kept so that tests can be run on it to help determine his exact cause of death. They had the choice of waiting up to three weeks for the brain to be returned to them and then bury him or bury him without it, which is what they decided to do. The examination of Jackson's brain will not begin until after two weeks after he died so that the brain will harden enough to slice it open. A forensic neuropathologist will test his brain for past drug use, whether he had overdoses in the past, and other things. The rapper Snoop Dogg testified in court on Monday stating that he didn't hit a man named Richard Monroe Jr. who is claiming that he hit him with a brass-knuckle microphone during one of Snoop's concerts in 2005. Monroe claims that he was seriously injured after Snoop, his entourage, and security hit him and poured alcohol on him during a performance of the song "Gin and Juice." He also said that he woke up backstage naked in a pool of blood after the incident. Snoop's attorney's say that Monroe was wrong to go on stage and security was just reacting because they thought that Snoop was being attacked when he went on stage. Monroe is suing for $22 million.

NBA Star Charles Barkley Arrested

On Wednesday, the NBA star Charles Barkley was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol in Phoenix, Arizona. Barkley failed the field sobriety tests after a police officer smelled alcohol. He was then arrested, cited, and released. His car was impounded and he left in a cab. Police say that Barkley was cooperative throughout the entire ordeal.

Singer Lyfe Jennings Involved In High Speed Police Chase

Today, the R&B singer Lyfe Jennings was arrested in Georgia for shooting off a gun, taking police on a car chase in a Corvette, and refusing to take a DUI test. The police chase ended when Jennings’ car eventually crashed. He was charged with felony weapon possession by a convicted felon, attempting to elude, discharging a firearm near a public highway, and refusing to take the sobriety test.

Suge Knight Gets Bailed Out of Jail

Marion “Suge” Knight, founder of Death Row Records, was put in jail on Wednesday on assault and drug charges after being accused of beating his girlfriend while brandishing a knife near the Las Vegas Strip. He post $19,000 bail and was scheduled to be released from jail on later in the day on Wednesday with a promise to appear in Las Vegas Justice Court on September 26th.

“Suge” Knight was arrested at 6:40 A.M. in the morning after police was at the scene of a minor traffic accident and found Knight hitting a woman in a parking lot off of a busy thoroughfare. He was on top of her and in the act of violently beating her when police arrived. An officer drew a Taser stun gun as they approached him and he dropped the folding knife that he had. The woman was not stabbed but she was treated at a hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening. Knight was arrested and booked into the Clark County jail on felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor charges of possession of dangerous drugs without a prescription, and domestic violence. He had Ecstasy and hydrocodone in his possession when he was arrested. It is not certain whether he or the woman had used drugs or alcohol before the arrest.

Rapper Young Jeezy Arrested

The rapper Young Jeezy was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and speeding after he was pulled over on Interstate 85 in his Corvette in Atlanta at 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday. He was also charged with driving with no proof of insurance or license plate, having an open container, and reckless driving. He was released from the Atlanta City Detention Center a few hours after being arrested on a $4,100 bond. He is scheduled to go to court on July 17^th.

He then spun into traffic and hit a palm tree. His friend was in the car at that time and was seriously hurt. He wasn’t wearing a seat belt and suffered a broken skull and other severe injuries. He was cited for being a driver under the age of 21, operating a vehicle with blood-alcohol level of 0.02 percent or higher, and having illegal window tinting. He will have to attend DUI classes and he can’t drink alcohol as terms of his probation.

Actor Gary Dourdan Arrested For Drug Possession

The actor Gary Dourdan, who is on the show “CSI” and was the show “A Different World,” was arrested on Monday for possession of narcotics and other dangerous drugs. He was found asleep in his car by the Palm Springs Police Department after a police officer saw his car parked on the wrong side of the street with the interior light on at 5:12 a.m. Dourdan seemed disoriented and under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He was arrested after police found suspected cocaine, heroin, Ecstacy, miscellaneous prescription drugs, and paraphernalia in his car. He was released on $5,000 bail later that morning. A court date was not immediately scheduled. He has played the crime scene investigator Warrick Brown on the show “CSI” since 2000.

The actress Mischa Barton was charged with 4 misdemeanors on Tuesday that are due to a drinking and driving arrest that happened last year. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving while having 0.8 percent or higher blood alcohol level, driving without a valid license, and possession of 28.5 grams or less of marijuana.

Study Shows that Alcohol Increases Risk of Cancer

A recent study has show that alcohol can increase the chances of getting breast cancer in women. Studies have shown a link between drinking alcohol and breast cancer but they have yet to determine if certain types of alcohol is more dangerous than others.

The study analyzed the drinking habits of 70,033 women and asked them various questions during health exams between the years 1978 and 1985. By the year 2004, 2,829 of those women had been diagnosed with breast cancer. The study found that women who had one or two drinks a day increased their risk by 10 percent and women who had more than three drinks a day increased their risk by 30 percent.

Experts think that alcohol raises hormone levels in the blood to levels that could cause cancer. Doctors say that other factors, such as genetics, obesity, and age are more important factors that can raise the risk of breast cancer.

Mike Tyson Sentenced to 4 Years in Prison

Mike Tyson has pleaded guilty to charges of drug possession and driving under the influence. Tyson admitted to having cocaine and being under the influence of alcohol when he was stopped by police after leaving a nightclub last December. He pleaded guilty to a felony count of cocaine possession and a misdemeanor DUI count.

It is reported in Naples, FL that a man named David Tanner had to be airlifted to the hospital after a woman, Victoria Hosner, he was teaching to drive accidentally ran over him. David was teaching Victoria to drive when she accidentally hit the gas pedal and accelerated backwards. David was standing outside near the vehicle and was knocked to the ground. Victoria then accidentally ran over his leg. She then continued to drive in reverse and cause about $6,000 worth of damage.

A deputy thought Her eyes were bloodshot and her breath smelled like alcohol. They measured her blood-alcohol level at .146, which is .08 above Florida’s legal limit. She faces charges of driving under the influence, three counts of driving under the influence with damage to property or person of another, and driving without a license.
