Horror Novelist Arrested For Cannibalism

In Mexico City, an aspiring horror novelist, named Jose Luis Calva, was arrested on Moday after police found the torso of his girlfriend in his closet, a leg in the refrigerator, and bones in a cereal box. Calva told the police that he had even boiled some of his girlfriend’s skin but didn’t eat it. Police also found chunks of fried meat in a pan but they have to do testing to see if they are human.

The police went to Calva’s apartment after neighbors complained of a horrible smell coming from it. That is when they found the body parts of his girlfriend, Alejandra Galeana, and bones. Galeana’s family had reported her missing three days before she was discovered. Calva told the police that he was a writer and a poet and police found a draft of a novel called “Cannibalistic Instincts.”

Calva is also being investigated in the killings of his ex-girlfriend who was found dead and dismembered in 2004 and an unidentified prostitute that was killed earlier this year. When being arrested Calva tried to run from the police but he was hit by a car and was hospitalized.
