Charges Dropped Against Comedian Katt Williams

It is reported that the gun charges against the comedian Katt Williams have been dropped because prosecutors say that they "can't prove the charges beyond a reasonable doubt." Williams was arrested this past November after police pulled over a Cadillac Escalade SUV and a Dodge minibus that belonged to him and found a gun in each of the vehicles. Prosecutors found that the guns were legally registered in other states to two men who with with Williams.

Major news companies are reporting that Barack Obama has defeated John McCain to become the first African American president of the United States. Obama had announced his presidential candidacy two years ago and now he will become the next president of the USA.

Oprah Winfrey’s Mother Getting Sued for Unpaid Bill

A high-end clothing store in Brookfield, Wisconsin named Valentina is suing Oprah Winfrey’s mother, Vernita Lee, for not paying a bill. A civil complaint states that she owes the store nearly $156,000 for purchases and interest as of July 1st and has not made the monthly minimum payment of $2,000. A nonbinding mediation session is scheduled for September 16th.
