Michael Jackson's Burial Delayed

The late singer Michael Jackson's burial will be delayed. He was set to be buried on August 29th, which would have been his 51st birthday, but the date has been changed to September 3rd. It was going to be changed to August 31st, but it would have conflicted with schools re-opening on that day. The burial will be at Holly Terrace in The Great Mausoleum at Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.

Michael Jackson Buried on Birthday

The late singer Michael Jackson is set to be buried to be buried on August 29th, which would have been his 51st birthday. He will be buried during a private ceremony at Forest Lawn-Glendale where the guests will only be his family and close friends. His burial place will have replicas of works by Michelangelo and will have a stained glass recreation of Leonardo da Vinci's "The Last Supper." The cemetery is located in the city of Glendale, which is approximately 8 miles north of downtown Los Angeles.

Singer Jennifer Hudson Engaged

The singer and actress Jennifer Hudson has gotten engaged to her boyfriend David Otunga. He asked her to marry him while celebrating her 27th birthday in Los Angeles on Friday. They have not set a wedding date yet. David Otunga was a contestant called “Punk” on the VH1 reality dating show called “I Love New York 2.”

Nelson Mandela in London to Celebrate Birthday

Nelson Mandela, the former South African president, is in London for the week to celebrate his 90th birthday. He is set to attend an outdoor concert that is in his honor in Hyde Park on this coming Friday. The performances will include Queen, Annie Lennox, Leona Lewis, and the Soweto Gospel Choir. Amy Winehouse will also perform if her doctors say that it is okay for her to do so. The proceeds from the concert will go to 46664 charity, which is the AIDS charity named after the number Mandela wore while he was imprisoned by South Africa’s apartheid authorities.

Mandela is also set to meet supporters, which include Prime Minister Gordon Brown, former U.S. President Bill Clinton, and talkshow host Oprah Winfrey. The concert coincides with the 20th anniversary of London’s Free Mandela concert. Mandela was released from prison in 1990 after being incarcerated for 27 years and was elected as the first black president in South Africa in 1994.
