The singer and actress Jennifer Hudson has gotten engaged to her boyfriend David Otunga. He asked her to marry him while celebrating her 27th birthday in Los Angeles on Friday. They have not set a wedding date yet. David Otunga was a contestant called “Punk” on the VH1 reality dating show called “I Love New York 2.”

Actor Morgan Freeman Discharged from Hospital

The actor Morgan Freeman was discharged from a hospital in Tennessee on Thursday after being treated for a broken arm, broken elbow, and other injuries that he had gotten in a car accident in Mississippi last weekend. He and his wife of 24 years are also divorcing and the two have been separated since December, but no divorce papers have been filed yet.

Comedian and Actor Bernie Mac Dies

The well known comedian and actor Bernie Mac has died on Saturday at the age of 50 from complications due to pneumonia at a Chicago area hospital. He has suffered from sarccoidosis, which is an inflammatory lung disease that produces small lumps of cells in the body's organs, but the disease went into remission in 2005. He recently had to be hospitalized for pneumonia but it was not related to the sarcoidosis.

Actor Shia LaBeouf Arrested

The actor Shia LaBeouf, who starred in the movie Transformers, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing after he was drunk and refused to leave a Chicago Walgreens store. After he wouldn’t leave, the security guard detained him and called the police at around 2:30 a.m. After he was arrested, the police say he was very nice and polite. He posted bond before 7 a.m. LaBeouf is scheduled to go to court on November 28^th.

Actress Garcelle Beauvias Gives Birth to Twins

On October 18th, Actress Garcelle Beauvias and her husband Michael Nilon welcomed twin baby boys into the world. The first boy is named Jax Joseph Nilon and the second is named Jaid Thomas Nilon. Garcelle also has a 15 year old son named Oliver from her previous marriage.
