Actor Gary Coleman Dies

On Friday, the popular actor Gary Coleman died at the age of 42 due to a brain hemorrhage. He had been hospitalized on Wednesday and placed on life support. He went into a coma and never regained consciousness. His wife decided to discontinue life support and he died peacefully soon after 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As a child he played on the show "Diff’rent Strokes" and also made many guest appearances on other shows.

Singer Teddy Pendergrass Dies

The R&B singer Teddy Pendergrass died at the age of 59 on Wednesday evening due to colon cancer. He died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he had been hospitalized for months. Pendergrass' son says that his father had colon cancer surgery eight months ago and had a difficult recovery. He is known for his songs "Close the Door" and "Love T.K.O." He was involved in a car accident in 1982 that left him paralyzed and before his death he was working on a musical documenting his life, called "I Am Who I Am."

Actor Gary Coleman Hospitalized

Today, the actor Gary Coleman was taken to the hospital. He was transported from the Custom Hotel where he was staying in Los Angeles. People who were with Coleman say that he has signs of seizure. Coleman was reportedly sitting on the bed when he went into what looked like seizure. Coleman came around and paramedics were called.

Rap Producer Suge Knight Hospitalized

Marion "Suge" Knight, a rap producer and co-founder of Death Row Records, has been hospitalized in Arizona after being punched in the face during a hotel fight. It happed on Monday at a private party at a hotel in Scottsdale. Two men were arrested in the incident on the suspicion of assault and disorderly conduct, including one who said that he is the business manager of the singer Akon.

Singer Janet Jackson Hospitalized

The singer Janet Jackson was taken to the hospital after not feeling well shortly before a concert in Montreal. During her sound check she suddenly felt sick and had to be taken to the hospital just before the show was scheduled to start. She is currently being monitored at the hospital and plans to reschedule the show.

Singer Natalie Cole Hospitalized

Natalie Cole, Grammy-winning singer and daughter of late Nat King Cole, has been hospitalized due to side effects of her medication and having a heavy promotional schedule for her new album “Still Unforgettable.” She has been in a New York City hospital since September 12th and is expected to stay there for a short time and then return to her home in Los Angeles where she will be on bedrest. She is reportedly responding well to the treatment.

She announced in July that she had hepatitis C, which is a liver disease that is spread through contact with infected blood. The disease was found during a routine examination and is likely due to her previous years of drug use.

Rev. Jesse Jackson Hospitalized

The Reverend Jesse Jackson has entered a Chicago hospital after having severe stomach pains. Doctors told him that he has viral gastroenteritis but they are conducting more tests. He says that he was campaigning and doing voter registration in Georgia earlier this week when he began feeling sick after becoming dehydrated. He then entered a Chicago hospital on Wednesday. He isn’t sure when he will be released. Viral gastroenteritis is an inflammation of the stomach and intestines and usually isn’t serious for most people.

Comedian Bernie Mac Hospitalized With Pneumonia

The comedian Bernie Mac is currently in a hospital in Chicago with pneumonia. He is reportedly responding well to the treatment and should be released from the hospital soon. The pneumonia isn't related to the inflammatory lung disease that he has that has been in remission since 2005.

Singer Toni Braxton Hospitalized

The singer Toni Braxton has been hospitalized in Las Vegas. She has an illness that hasn’t been revealed to the public yet but isn’t life-threatening. She was taken to the hospital on Monday night but is expected to be released this afternoon. She is in Las Vegas to do a show at the Flamingo hotel but Tuesday’s show is expected to be canceled.

CNN Host Nancy Grace Hospitalized

Nancy Grace, the CNN Headline News host, was hospitalized this past weekend due to blood clots in her lungs. Last week, she gave birth to twins and it is said that the blood clots were caused by her pregnancy. During her pregnancy, she developed fluid build-up in her lungs and the doctor said that they should induce labor early. Her twins were born two months premature but they are healthy and doing well.

Conan O’Brien Priest Stalker Hospitalized

The Roman Catholic priest that was stalking late-night talk show host Conan O’Brien was admitted to a hospital for evaluation on Saturday after going missing. The Rev. David Ajemian was reported missing by his father at round 3:15 p.m. after he wasn’t seen for almost three hours. He went back to his parent’s home in Boston at around 7:00 p.m. and then voluntarily went to a hospital.

Ajemian was recently arrested in New York City while trying to enter a taping of “Late Night with Conan O’Brien after he was told by the NBC security to stay away. He is currently being charged with aggravated stalking and harassment.
