Rapper Dr. Dre's Son Died of Drug Overdose

After toxicology and other tests have been done, it is found that the 20 year old son of rapper Dr. Dre, named Andre Young Jr., died of an accidental heroin and morphine overdose. He was recently found dead in his home by his mother after spending a night out with his friends.

Def Jam Executive Found Dead

Shakir Stewart, Executive Vice President of Def Jam, was found in his home dead from a gunshot wound to his head on Saturday. Police found him after responding to a a shooting at an undisclosed address. The official cause of death has not been released yet but police suspect that he committed suicide. No arrests or charges have been made. He was the person who signed the music artists Young Jeezy and Rick Ross to the label.

Rapper Yung Berg Arrested for Weapons and Drugs

The rapper Yung Berg was arrested on Saturday morning in New York City after police went to investigate a complaint that was made by a limo driver about a dispute with five passengers. After police investigated the complaint, they busted Yung Berg and some of his friends on many charges. Yung Berg was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of marijuana, and menacing.

Rapper Young Jeezy Arrested

The rapper Young Jeezy was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and speeding after he was pulled over on Interstate 85 in his Corvette in Atlanta at 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday. He was also charged with driving with no proof of insurance or license plate, having an open container, and reckless driving. He was released from the Atlanta City Detention Center a few hours after being arrested on a $4,100 bond. He is scheduled to go to court on July 17^th.

Bobby Brown Serves Community Service

The singer Bobby Brown will not have any criminal charges pressed against him after police found a small amount of cocaine in his possession. A Brockton District Court clerk found no probable cause to issue a criminal complaint, but did recommend that he volunteer to mentor young people. Brown agreed to serve a year of community service.

On Dec 1, 2007, police were called to investigate a disturbance at a Brockton hotel. They found Bobby Brown sitting in a SUV of a parking lot and found cocaine in his possession.

Rapper Young Joc Got Robbed

This past weekend, the rapper Young Joc got robbed in a London club. He was enjoying his time in the VIP area with singer T-Pain when a fight broke out near them and someone grabbed Young Joc’s “H” necklace, worth $150,000, and ran off.
