Senator Edward Kennedy Undergoes Surgery, Radiation, and Chemo Therapy

On Monday, Senator Edward Kennedy had 3 ½ hours of surgery done to cut out as much of his cancerous brain tumor as possible. The surgery was successful and chemotherapy and radiation will be done next to shrink whatever is left of the tumor. The Senator was diagnosed with a malignant glioma last month, which is an often lethal brain tumor, after he suffered from a seizure at this home in Cape Cod and had to be hospitalized.
