Singer R. Kelly Acquitted of All Charges
The singer R. Kelly has been acquitted by the jury of all 14 charges against him after less than a day of deliberations in his child pornography case. The prosecutors against him tried to say that a video tape that was mailed to the Chicago Sun-Times in 2002 was of him having sex with a girl that was as young as 13 years old at the time that the tape was made. R. Kelly and the girl, who is now 23, both denied in court that it was either of them on the tape. Most of the evidence against him was questionable in court so there was not enough evidence for him to be sentenced.

Singer R. Kelly’s Trial Finally Ready to Begin
After six years of delays, the jury selection is set to begin in the singer R. Kelly’s trail on child pornography charges. The charges are based on a videotape showing him supposedly having sex with a 13 year old girl. The girl, who is now 23 years old, says that it wasn’t her on the tape and R. Kelly also claims that it wasn’t him on the tape either. He could face up to 15 years in prison if he is convicted. The trial may last several weeks and in previous years Kelly has already settled three lawsuits that accused him of having sex with underage girls.

Newborn Found with Pacifier Taped to Mouth at Daycare Center
An investigator went to the daycare center and heard muffled whining from the bathroom and found the baby boy’s mouth covered with two pieces to two-inch-wide clear packing tape over a pacifier. The child could have died, ingested the tape, aspirated, or had breathing problems. Two of the caretakers on duty admitted to what they did and admitted that they have done this before to children. Back in 2005, the same daycare was investigated after a child died from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) in the facility.
The facility cares for 24 children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years old. The facility is still under investigation. It is sad that you can’t trust some daycare centers.
