Tyra Banks Writing Fantasy Novels

The TV show Host and former model Tyra Banks has signed a deal for a series of fantasy novels about modeling. Her first book is called "Modelland" and it is about a teen-aged girl in a make-believe society at an academy for exceptional models called Intoxibellas. The book will be published in the summer of 2011 and will cover issues from relationships to body images. The book is meant to empower women of all ages. Banks is set to end "The Tyra Banks Show" later this year after five seasons to launch her own production company called Bankable Studios.

Tyra Banks Ending Talk Show

Former model, Tyra Banks, says that she will be ending the syndicated “The Tyra Show” after its fifth season. She plans to still work with the reality show “America’s Next Top Model” and she is making a new production studio with plans to make movies. She also has plans for new digital projects.

Actress Halle Berry Pregnant Again

The Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry is currently pregnant with her second child. The father is her model boyfriend named Gabriel Aubry. The couple had their first child, a daughter named Nahla, in 2007. With Berry's first pregnancy she used in vitro fertilization to get pregnant. This second time, she used artificial insemination to get pregnant.

Tyra Banks Stalker Gets Sentence

The stalker of Tyra Banks, who is a former model and current talk show host, named Brady Green was sentenced to one year of probation. As part of his sentence, he has to complete an anti-stalking course called Project SHARP (Stopping Harassment and Relationship Problems). If he doesn't complete the course, he will have to serve 90 days in jail.

Kimora Lee Simmons Gives Birth to New Baby

On Saturday, Kimora Lee Simmons gave birth to a healthy baby boy. She is a former fashion model who is currently the CEO of the clothing design company Phat Fashions. The father of the child is the actor Djimon Hounsou. She was previously married to the hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons but the couple divorced in 2008 after being married for seven years and having two daughters together.

Tyra Banks Testifies Against Her Stalker

This week, Tyra Banks, talk show host and former model, will testify in court against a man named Brady Green who is being accused of stalking her. He was arrested near the Manhattan studio where Banks tapes her talk show. Banks feels that his unwanted attention alarmed her and made her feel unsafe. A lawyer for Green states that he was doing nothing wrong and was just answered Bank's invitation for fans to reach out to her. Green could receive up to 90 days in jail if he is convicted.

Actor Vin Diesel Has New Baby Girl

The actor Vin Diesel and his girlfriend, model Paloma Jimenez, has welcomed a baby into the world on April 2^nd in Los Angeles. The baby’s name hasn’t been released yet. Vin Diesel has starred in the movies, “The Fast and the Furious,” “Boiler Room,” “Saving Private Ryan,” “The Pacifier,” and “The Chronicles of Riddick.”

Model Naomi Campbell Charged In London Airport Assault

The model Naomi Campbell has been charged with assaulting two police officers during an incident that happened at Heathrow Airport on April 3rd. She was charged when she reported to Heathrow police station to answer bail. She faces three counts of assaulting a constable, two counts of using threatening abusive words or behavior towards the cabin crew, and one count of disorderly conduct. The assault was against two officers. She has been ordered to appear at a west London magistrates’ court on June 20^th and she could possibly receive six months in prison and/or a fine of up to $10,000.

On April 3^rd, Campbell was on a British Airways plane ready to go to Los Angeles when she got into a dispute over her luggage. She was removed from the plane and held for eight hours at the airport police station before she was released on bail.

Halle Berry Gives Birth to Baby

Halle Berry gave birth to a baby girl on Sunday. It is reported that she is doing great. The father is Gabriel Aubry, a 32 year old model. Halle met him while shooting a Versace ad in Los Angeles two years ago.

Model Naomi Campbell Hospitalized

The model Naomi Campbell has been hospitalized in Sao Paulo, Brazil for an infectious disease. She is being treated by one of Brazil’s top specialists. She went to Brazil earlier this month for the Carnival in Salvador and was hospitalized this past Sunday.

Nick Cannon and Selita Ebanks Break Up

Nick Cannon and his fiance Selita Ebanks have decided to take a break from their relationship so that they can both focus on their careers. They have decided to just be friends for the time being.

The two met at a Super Bowl part in Miami back in February and Nick proposed to Selita in May in Times Square with a 15-carat diamond ring that he helped to design.

Baby Crib Recalls

About 1 million Simplicity and Graco cribs are being recalled after three children had gotten trapped in their cribs and died of suffocation. The three children were 6-months old, 9-months old, and 1-year old.
In all of the deaths, the buyer had installed the drop-rail side of the crib upside down. This causes a gap in the crib that children can slide into and suffocate. There have been 55 reports of the crib’s drip side detaching or the hardware not holding the side to the crib. All of the cribs were made in China.
Back in June, about 40,000 Nursery-in-a-Box cribs, manufactured by Simplicity, were recalled because the assembly instructions didn’t explain correctly how to attach the drop side. The current recall involves mainly the Simplicity and Graco cribs made from January 1998 to May 2007. The recall involves many models and model numbers.
A person that owns one of these cribs should make sure that the drop side is installed right side up and is securely attached. The newer models have a flexible tab at the top of the lower track and a permanent stop at the bottom. The older models had a flexible tab at the bottom of the lower tracks.
The models that are recalled include: Aspen 3 in 1, Aspen 4 in 1, Nursery-in-a-Box, Crib N Changer, Combo, Chelsea, Pooh 4 in 1, Ultra 4 in 1, and Ultra 5 in 1. Simplicity is offering free repairs for cribs with older hardware.

Chrysler and Honda Vehicle Recalls

Chrysler has decided to recall almost 300,000 sport utility vehicles after there were problems with the vehicles ability to brake while driving uphill. They are also recalling more than 156,000 Jeep Grand Cherokees and Commander SUVs from the 2006-2007 model years, more than 90,000 2007 Jeep Wrangler SUVs, and about 50,000 2007 Dodge Nitro SUVs. They are also recalling 72,333 Dodge Avenger sedans and Chrysler Sebring convertibles from the 2008 model year for problems with the front door latches and locks.

Chrysler has received about 20 complaints of vehicles having a delay in braking when the drivers tried to stop after going uphill. There has been one crash and no injuries reported. To fix this problem, the computer connected to the antilock brake system will be reprogrammed.

Honda is recalling more than 180,000 Civics from the 2006-2007 model years to fix a wheel-bearing seal that could possibly leak and cause a wheel fall of the car. The seal where the antilock brake sensor mounts to the rear wheel bearing could allow moisture and salt to leak into the wheel bearing and cause corrosion, which could make the wheel fall off and cause a car crash. They have received two complaints relating to this problem. No injuries were reported.
