Alli is the newest and latest weight-loss pill. It was created by the pharmaceutical company called GlaxoSmithKline and is the only government approved over-the-counter weight-loss product on the market. It is a milder version of the prescription drug Xenical and works by reducing the absorption of fat. When it is used with a reduced-calorie diet and exercise, users can lose up to 50 percent more weight than with just dieting alone.
Side effects are low, especially with a diet of no more than 30 percent fat.
