Update on Charlie Sheen Arrest
It has been reported that the actor Charlie Sheen was arrested on Christmas Day in Denver due to a domestic abuse situation. His wife, Brooke Mueller, told police that the pinned her on a bed, put a knife to her throat, and threatened to kill her after she told him that she wanted a divorce. Sheen was arrested on suspicion of menacing, second-degree assault, and criminal mischief. He is currently free on $8,500 bond.
Tyra Banks Ending Talk Show
Former model, Tyra Banks, says that she will be ending the syndicated “The Tyra Show” after its fifth season. She plans to still work with the reality show “America’s Next Top Model” and she is making a new production studio with plans to make movies. She also has plans for new digital projects.

Actor Charlie Sheen Arrested
The actor Charlie Sheen was arrested on Christmas Day on allegations of domestic abuse after police responded to a 911 call from house in a ski resort town in Denver, Colorado because of a domestic violence situation. An ambulance went to the house, but nobody was taken to the hospital. Sheen was taken to Pitkin County jail and booked for investigation of second-degree assault, menacing, and criminal mischief. He was released late in the afternoon after posting a $8,500 bond and being advised by a county judge on the conditions of his release. A court date is set for February 8th. The identity of the person accusing him has not been released but Sheen is currently married to real estate investor Brooke Mueller Sheen since May of 2008. The couple has twin boys that were born in March.

Rapper T.I. Released from Prison
The rapper T.I. was released from a federal prison in Arkansas on Tuesday December 22nd. Last May, be began serving his year and a day sentence for illegal possession of firearms and possessing a gun as a convicted felon. After being released from prison, he had to go to Dismas Charities halfway house in Atlanta and will be there for up to three months.
Michael Jackson’s Doctor Gets TV Show
The doctor being investigated in the death of late singer Michael Jackson, named Dr. Conrad Murray, had gotten a deal with a British documentary crew to shoot footage of him during his first day back to work in Houston on November 23rd, 2009. The footage was shot for an upcoming one-episode TV special. The camera crew followed Murray around for the entire day, as he went to his office and to church. Murray hasn’t been paid yet but he will get an unspecified amount after the special airs. Murray is not allowing the company to air the special until after the Michael Jackson investigation is completed, which could possibly last a couple of years.
Ashanti Stalker Convicted
A man named Devar Hurd was convicted in a Manhattan court on Tuesday of harassing the mother of singer Ashanti with dirty photos and lewd text messages about Ashanti. The man even sent photos of his genitals and a picture of the home where Ashanti’s family lives. He was found guilty of stalking and aggravated harassment for the messages that Ashanti’s mother found scary and disgusting. He is being held without bail until his sentencing on January 11th. He could possibly be sentenced to spending up to two years in prison.

Actress Brittany Murphy Dies
The actress Brittany Murphy, who starred in the movies "Clueless," "8 Mile," and "Just Married," has died at the age of 32 of a heart attack. Her close friends say that she had a drug problem and was addicted to prescription drugs, including Vicodin. They say that she became dependent on painkillers after having a series of plastic surgery operations. Before her death, she had been taking prescription medication for flu-like symptoms and was very sick when she went into cardiac arrest. She was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre, where she pronounced dead on arrival at 10:04 a.m. on Monday. Many different prescriptions were found in the home that were prescribed to her, her husband Simon, Monjack, and Murphy's mother. The LA County Coroner's office will perform an autopsy and toxicology report on her against her husband's wishes.

Beyonce's Mother Files for Divorce
Last month, Beyonce's mother, Tina Knowles, filed divorce papers in Harris County to end her 29-year marriage with Mathew Knowles. In October, Matthew received a paternity lawsuit from another woman who claimed that he is the father of her child. The couple have two children together, which are Beyonce and a daughter named Solange.

NFL Star Chris Henry Dies
The NFL star Chris Henry has died at the age of 26 as the result of severe head injuries that he received after falling out of the back of a moving pickup truck . Police officers believe that he jumped into the back of the truck to stop his fiance from leaving her parents' home during a domestic dispute in North Carolina. He was thrown from the truck to the pavement and suffered the deadly injuries. Henry played as a wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Kourtney Kardashian Gives Birth
Kourtney Kardashian, one of the stars of the reality show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," recently gave birth to a baby boy named Mason Dash Disick in in Los Angeles. The baby was born weighing 7 pounds and 6 ounces and had a height of 19.5 inches. The father is Kardashian's boyfriend Scott Disick.

Reggae Star Buju Banton Facing Drug Charges
The Jamaican reggae star Buju Banton is facing a drug charge in Florida after being arrested on the charge of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute more than five kilograms of cocaine. His real name is Mark Anthony Myrie and he has been in U.S. Federal custody in Miami since Thursday.

Tyler Perry's Mother Dies
The mother of movie producer Tyler Perry, named Willie Maxine Perry, died on Tuesday at the age of 64. Perry had announced it on his Web site. The reason for her death is currently unknown to the public and she had worked as a pre-school teacher at the New Orleans Jewish Community Center most of her life. Perry was planning to go on the road for another tour of live "Madea" shows but it is currently unclear how this recent tragedy will have an effect on his schedule.
