Bill Nye the Science Guy Seeking Restraining Order Against Ex
Bill Nye, who hosted the PBS series “Bill Nye the Science Guy,” is seeking a permanent restraining order against his ex-fiancé, Blair Tindall. He claims that she tried to poison his vegetable garden. He says that she went to this home on September 3rd dressed in black and carrying two plastic bottles filled with a solvent and thinks that the solvent was poured on his garden, from which he eats the food he grows. He wants the restraining order to keep his ex away from his house and to keep her from contacting him.
His ex-fiancé is the author of “Mozart in the Jungle” and a former concert oboist. She admitted to pouring two bottles of weed killer in his garden. She says that she only meant to hurt his garden and not him. She also says that she has started counseling and is not a threat to Nye. A hearing is scheduled for December 20th for the case.

Facebook Uses New Tracking Feature
Some users of the Facebook website are complaining that their recent marketing program is showing their purchases made online to their friends on the site. The new feature places a small box in the corner of Web browsers that keeps track of purchases made at Fandango, Overstock, and other online retailers. The box would alert users that information is about to be shared with Facebook unless they click “No Thanks.” The box would disappear after 20 seconds on its own if you don’t click anything and then consent to share information is automatically assumed. Users are given a second notice the next time they log on to Facebook, but they can miss it if they quickly click to visit a friend’s page or check e-mail.
The concept behind the idea of the tool is that if users see a friend buy something, they’d want to shop from the same place too or maybe buy the same item. Companies can even buy and ad next to the feed item with the friend’s picture. The tool raises concerns of privacy. Users can decline the sharing on a site-by-site basis, but they still have to be apart of the program.

Alicia Keys’ Myspace Page Hacked
The MySpace pages of Alicia Keys and other musicians have been hacked. The discovery came after users reported that the Alicia Keys page was blocked. The pages were flagged by users of Exploit Prevention Labs’ Linkscanner Software, which blocks pages containing malicious codes. When a visitor views the page, it would try to install malware on the visitor’s computer if there is no protection against it. If it can install the malware, then the user is asked to install a fake codec to see a video. The user is also in trouble if they click anywhere on the page, including ads, that are not a legitimate link, because the page would still try to install malicious codes.
Because the attack happened to many different pages, they don’t think that MySpace is involved in the hacks and the domain of the hackers is registered to Xiamen Hua Shang Sheng Shi Network Co. Ltd, in
